What you need to know:
You have been assigned a spot as a student aide or peer tutor.
Your job as an aide is to assist the teacher in the classroom. They may have you help students, make copies, organize, or anything else that would be a great assistance to them in the classroom.
Guidelines for Student Aides
1. Put first things first. Be on time with a positive attitude ready to work.
Elementary aides only- You will use your planner as a sign in. When you enter the classroom you will write the time in your planner on the specific date. Once you have written the time in your planner, your cooperating teacher will sign as well. It is your responsibility to know your the bell schedule if you are in the elementary. Please leave on time in order to get to your next class before the tardy bell rings.
Junior high aides- follow the bell schedule. Be in your classroom before the tardy bell.
2. Be proactive in looking for things to help out the classroom teacher. Stay busy. NO CELL PHONES
3. Think Win-Win. Ask yourself- am I being a great role model for these students and creating a great learning atmosphere in this room? If your answer is yes then GREAT JOB! If your answer is no, then think of ways you can turn that no into a yes.
You will need to fill this out and submit it on the following dates:

September 8th and 22nd
October 6th and 27th
Term 2
November 10th
December 1st and 22nd
January 12th
Term 3
January 26th
February 9th and 23rd
March 16th
Term 4
March 30th
April 20th
May 4th and 18th
If you can not follow the above student aide guidelines you will be removed from being a student aide and placed in an open class.
